Dr. Gordon is the current Health Policy & Advocacy Fellow at Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine in Houston, TX. She is originally from Miami, FL where she graduated from FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and remained for Emergency Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a B.A in Global Health Policy & International Development and received a Master of Public Health at Claremont Graduate University. She has served numerous roles within the Emergency Medicine Residents Association (EMRA) and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) including as the Chair of EMRA’s Social EM Committee, Vice Chair of the Health Policy Committee, the Southeast Coordinator for EMRA’s Medical Student Council and the Co-Chair of the Medical Student Council for the Florida College of Emergency Medicine (FCEP). Her academic interests include firearm violence prevention, advanced directives, and the comparative study of health care delivery systems.
