Lanny Martin

Areas of Interest: 
Major areas of research include comparative politics, legislative institutions, and political methodology.

Professor Martin's research focuses on legislative institutions, democratic processes, and coalition government in advanced industrial democracies. He has recently published articles in the American Journal of Political Science, the American Political Science Review, the British Journal of Political Science, and Legislative Studies Quarterly. His current research, funded by a National Science Foundation CAREER grant, examines policy responsiveness and dynamic representation in periods of multiparty government. Dr. Martin also serves as Director of Graduate Studies for the Department of Political Science.
